Shuswap Lake is expected to receive some beautiful weather this weekend and nothing says “summer is here” more than a sunny Canada Day weekend spent lakeside with family and friends. Come down to Cottonwood Cove RV Resort and celebrate Canada’s 149th birthday with us! We’ve got several fun-filled events for the kids happening at the resort, plus there are a ton of activities in the region suitable for all ages. Here’s the details on the upcoming festivities:

Kids Events

Thursday June 30th: Kids Craft Kick-Off

• Kids Canada flag handprint craft from 9:30 am – 11:30 am at the gazebo

Friday July 1st: Kids Bike Parade

• Canada Day bike decorating event starts at 10:00 am at the gazebo. The parade will begin at 11:00 am with a few laps of the resort – so the kids can show off their creations
• At 7:00 pm we will be showing the movie Zootopia at the gazebo

Saturday July 2nd: Canada Day Craft

• Canada themed craft from 9:30 am – 11:30 am at the gazebo

Shuswap Events

Each year on July 1st, the Shuswap hosts a number of fantastic events perfect for the whole family. Blind Bay is a prime location for fireworks, which happens to be in close proximity to Cottonwood Cove. The impressive display shoots off at 11 pm!
